March 2010
Hello to our Chapter M Family and Friends:
Yes, here we are in March and Spring is just around the
corner. It has been a long winter and before we put our
beautiful Wings away for their long winter’s nap, we
cleaned and polished them and removed many items from
the saddlebags and trunk.
Now that the weather is or should be warming up, have
you thought about what your Gold Wing may need before
heading out on the open road? Why not take a few
moments to check over the Wing. Do you remember what a
T-CLOCK inspection is? (Tires Controls Lights
Oil Chassis Kickstand) What will you and your
co-rider need to do so you are prepared for that first
ride? How about proper riding attire? Is your helmet
in good shape? Exactly how old is it? Do you think
there may be a new one in your future? Do you have a
first aid kit in the bike? What about your rain gear?
Oh that’s right, it never rains when you ride. These
are just a few things we all need to think about before
we can be ready for that first sunny day and we get on
the Wing and ride. Let’s make it the first of many
rides. Pay attention to the drivers in those four
wheelers. They are not expecting to see you and your
motorcycle out and about - they may not share the road
quite so easily. We all need to pay close attention to
their every move.
The Chapter M Social was originally scheduled for March
14, but there was a conflict and it is now rescheduled
to the next Sunday, March 21, and will still be at
Mackinaw’s.
We will have more information about the District Rally
at the March Social.
Well that is about all for this month, Come join us when
you can, we look forward to seeing you. Don’t be shy,
come say HI…We are always looking for new ideas. This is
your Chapter, we appreciate any and all suggestions.
