Season’s Greetings Chapter M Family and Friends:
Have you been naughty or nice? Who will be looking at the list and checking it twice? What will you find under that tree all decorated with ornaments and lights? Could it be a new Gold Wing, safety chrome or lights…? Hope you get what you really wished for!
As most you know from the past couple of Socials, Chapter M will NOT have the usual December holiday party. Instead we will combine it with our sleigh ride on January 10, at Rock K Ranch in Greenleaf, and we have the warming house from 5 - 9 P.M. Each person is asked to bring a pint of your favorite chili to dump in the pot (please limit hot and spicy chili to a separate warming device of your choice) and we ask the ladies to bring your “oh so favorite” dessert to pass. The Chapter will take care of refreshments and condiments and maybe a few other surprises thrown in. Hope to see you there.
December is also the time we as a Chapter should be thinking about our 2009 Couple of the Year. Here are a few things to ask yourself before nominating that special couple.
- Are they there when the Chapter needs them the most?
- Are they a couple that has to be asked to help out at any Chapter function?
- Are they a couple that always wants or needs to be recognized for what they do?
- Do they go out of their way to participate in Chapter M activities?
- Would they be willing to visit other Wisconsin Chapters?
If you have someone in mind, talk to them and ask if you could submit their names to be considered as Couple of the Year. We have the nomination paperwork; just ask for a copy at the next Social. We would like to announce Chapter M Couple of the Year at our Sleigh Ride in January. So get those nominations back to our MED team, Ray and Barb Cousineau, or myself by December 24, 2008.
It has been announced that Wisconsin District Rally 2009 will be at the Governor Dodge Hotel & Convention Center. Mark your calendars for June 19-20, Platteville, Wisconsin. It is going to be a fun and exciting time…
A little reminder for December dinner nights, we will meet only for three Thursdays.
We will be going to the following and the time will remain at 6:30 P.M.
- Week one December 4th, meet at Luigi’s on Manitowoc Road,
- Week two, December 11, Kroll’s West on Ridge Road
- Week three December 18 The Rite Place Bellevue St & Allouez Ave
- Week four: December 25 NO DINNER NIGHT –Merry Christmas
If for some reason there is a change we will be sending out an email letting you know the new location.
Our Social for this month will be Sunday December 7th. Hope to see you at Mackinaw’s
We meet to eat at 5:30 and the Social will begin about 6 P.M.
